Slovenian Beehive 140 Day Inspection
This is an inspection of my new bees installed into my Slovenian beehive 140 days after package install. Install Date: 5/16/21 Inspection Date: 10/2/21 10 Frames with wax coated foundations Bees: Italian Video slowed x4 I inspected the frames from left to right. I removed the frame and placed it on my inspection rack and recorded a full rotation. The frame was then placed in the appropriate slot on my storage rack. Once the inspection was complete (about 30 minutes) the frames were moved back into their original locations. After reviewing the video, could not find the queen, but I do see queen activity. Also, notice the single hive beetle on frame 10. I also took the chance to remove the Varroa mite tray, and cleaned the bottom of the hive. I did this to prepare for a Oxalic Acid treatment. I recorded a video of my process, and will be uploading that shortly.
